Opening day.. 24th December 1846, making the Angaston Hotel the oldest pub in the Barossa Valley. Originally a single storey building has been added to, rebuilt and extended over the years. The original stables mentioned in an 1849 advertisement has been restored in 2019.
In 1911 in preparation for the railway coming to town extensive renovations including a second storey with accommodation rooms were added.

Today the hotel offers a la carte meals seven days a week, front bar, gaming machines, TAB and traditional upstairs accommodation.
